When I was 3 years old, I lived in the city of Kanpur. I loved playing on the terrace.
One day I was playing on the terrace alone. The wall of the terrace was short but tall enough for me. After many unsuccessful attempts, I was on the panel - hanging down. My legs were dangling in the air and I thought I was flying.
My parents were searching for me all over the house when there was a phone call. My father was the vice principal of a school in Kanpur. It was the principal’s call. He had seen me through his window because all of us lived in the school campus. He informed my parents and went out side and told me “Come down Paaus”.
I was very scared and started crying loudly.
My parents heard me and came up on the terrace and called me.
My father picked me up from there and gave a chocolate to eat as I was very scared and my legs were paining. I sat down and watched television with my father.
The wall was raised much higher so that this kind of incident would never take place again. After that day whenever I went to the terrace I took my father along and even today I am so scared that, I never go near the wall on the terrace.
