Lizzy is my cousin who is younger than me. She is seven years old. She is a really funny, naughty, silly, cute and adorable little girl. She is a very nice girl because the reason for all her pranks is a simple - to make people laugh. Lizzy has a cherubic face, hazel eyes and long, thin fingers which she finds useful for her little antics. She is funny and naughty but definitely not eccentric.
Lizzy, of course never stops merely at playing pranks. She indulges in all kinds of things. If she isn’t chasing our dog Snippy, with a stick, she will be neighing, galloping and trying to be a horse. And if she isn’t doing all this she would be thinking up new ways of fooling us. She just never stops even if our tummies start aching from laughing.
One day, I had come back from school early because I had an exam and was sitting in the balcony waiting for Lizzy to come. I could easily spot her because she would be running and jumping all the way. I looked at my watch, it was twenty minutes past four. Lizzy should have been home five minutes ago. And as far as I know she was never late. Suddenly, a little girl appeared round the corner. It was Lizzy all right, but she wasn’t running or jumping. She was not even smiling. I was baffled by this behaviour.
Why is Lizzy sad? I wondered. I rushed down to meet her.
“What’s the matter?” I asked her.
“Tell us Lizzy”. Mom said.
“I shouldn’t have done it”. She said.
“Done what?” I demanded.
“I sneaked an egg from our canteen. I was just throwing it into the air to see it splatter, but at that moment the principal came and the egg fell on her face! And now I’m expelled”. She wept.
“Lizzy how could you do that?” mom asked her. But dad, who was always on Lizzy’s side, said, “Cheer up Lizzy, I’ve got a surprise for you all!”
“ What?” We all asked at the same time.
“We’re shifting to Norway,” he said.
“Yay!!!” We screamed happily.
Soon we were in Norway and in a new school. Lizzy had stopped her antics, but when it was only the both of us together, she would be the same old Lizzy again.
