Dr. Anjana Maitra

Dr. Anjana Maitra was born and brought up in Rourkela. A brilliant student, she joined the Orissa Educational Service in 1992 and is presently posted as a Lecturer in Political Science in a Government College at Rourkela. She is also a corporate trainer and her clients include NTPC-SAIL, BSNL, Railways, NALCO etc. she regularly conducts workshops for the executives of Rourkela Steel Plant.

Dr. Anjana also takes Spoken English and Personality Development classes at Max Mueller Bhavan Rourkela and is also Guest Faculty for various professional institutes.

She has presented research papers at various seminars all over India. A prolific writer, two of her books and over 600 of her articles have been published in leading national newspapers and magazines. She is an English Newsreader on Rourkela Steel TV since 1990 and also anchors various events. She is the first lady President of a Rotary Club in Orissa. She is associated with various socio-cultural organizations in the steel city.
