I woke up with a loud scream,
Tense was I and sweating too;
Yes I had a horrible dream,
I hope it should never come out true.
I saw a person dressed in black,
Killing another man;
It seemed as if kindness he lacked,
He put his strength as much as he can.
There was shouting and chaos everywhere,
Pools of bloodshed every now and then;
It seemed as if our Gods don’t care,
To see the ferocity of his men.
“We need bloodshed for peace” they said,
But they get disturbed even more;
What they actually are trying to portray,
Is very much vague in the injuries and sores.
I could see the women in white,
Crying bitterly as much as they can;
Holding their dead husbands tight,
Their children filled with grief and behaving like insane.
I pondered over in the midnight,
That can we really achieve peace this way;
And held my pillow tight,
And then I realized, “nay!”
