• A beaver can hold it's breath for 45 minutes
• Flamingos are pink because shrimp is one of their main sources of food.
• Katydids have ears in their front legs.

Woodpeckers slam their heads into wood
at a rate of 20 pecks per second.
What protects them from injury
is a spongy area that sits behind their beaks
and acts as a shock absorber.
