She Makes My Day

by  Parthasarathi (7 years)

Every morning when she gets up
The first look she wants to have
Is my chubby face deep in slumber.

She makes me get ready for school
Does all the household chores
And leaves for her office by 10.

My mama is a royal persona
She is very pretty and dresses perfect
She misses me always in her office.

We both wait for 2.45 to strike early
I hop around till her office to embrace her
She kisses me and her face is all smiles.

We have lunch together
I play the computer and sleep
She writes her thoughts.

We return back to our home
We relax for a while,
And the real hard part for me starts.

Studying can be fun, when with mama
I write, learn and play when she teaches
She works hard to make me learn my lessons.

At 8.00 pm, she gets up to prepare food for us
I finish my homework and start painting
She prepares the food which I like.

At 9.00 pm, she takes me to the bedroom
She hugs me, kisses me and cajoles me
In the meantime, I slip into sleep.
So, does she...

I love my mama very much....
I love her 'pahad-jitna'....
