Running Thoughts

by Jacob Thomas

Life was put into me; I breathed
I was born, I lived
I don’t remember why, but I did live
Then I had no choice to choose
Then I wasn’t aware of even having a choice
I grew in body and mind
I grew to know about everything
To know about God’s divine abundant love
To know the beauty lying in the smallest thing
To dream and to cover myself under fantasies
Fantasies lived in me, dreams were just words
And when dreams lived, hope seemed the word
Everything faded; joys, happiness, moments……
Only to leave back just one thing… ME..
Me to myself, all by myself, just as I was born
Aim became dream, dream became wish and wish became hope
A hope without an origin, without an end
Hope made my breath and made my pulse
And thus I was born again … to live
To live … just for another dream.
