Animals
Animal Fundas – 22
by Aniket Kumar (11 years)

  • A dolphin can carry on two conversations at the same time – one by making clicking noises and the other by whistling.

  • Cockroaches have remained unchanged on earth for about 250,000,000 years.

  • The mocking bird has the ability to imitate the sound of around 40 different birds.

  • The guinea pig is not a pig, not does it come from Guinea. It is a rodent from South America.

  • The glass snake is not a snake. It is a lizard.

Funda of Fundas

Unlike most fishes, sharks do not have muscles that can draw water across their gills. And since fish breathe by drawing oxygenated water across their gills, it follows that sharks need to keep moving in order to get that oxygen into their system. While some sharks can pump water through their gills by opening and closing their mouths, most need to keep swimming.
