Don't Be Sad, Teddy Bear

by Susan Abraham

Don't be sad my teddy bear, you look bedraggled and worn for wear,
a hand from above and a sparkly bit of love,
is all you need with a cookie feed,
to get you feeling as right as rain again.

Don't be sad my teddy bear, I'll be your friend, your loneliness to share.
I'll add on a sweater and mittens with which to wear,
and a funny pipe for laughs to show I care.
I'll invite you over to play in my happy lair,
with a run in the sun and lots of other Toyland fun.
Don't be sad, my teddy bear. I can see you're in a spot of a tiny muddle,

But I'll soon lift you out of this slippery puddle...
And I'll do something about it right now, in a jolly double.
